Garlic Jalapeno Hummus

(PICS COMING SOON-AS I MAKE IT AGAIN)

If you know me, you know I love spicy!  But this basic hummus dish can be made with or without jalapeños or even the garlic.  A basic hummus is packed with tons of protein and lots of awesome taste.  Cater it to what you like…roasted veggies, other peppers, cheesy yes!  It’s up to you but do not forget to add your Garlic & Parsley Wheat Thins for dipping.

Ingredients:
1 cup garbanzo beans (chickpeas..feel free to use a can)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
½ teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon curry powder
1/4 cup jalapeño juice (from the can)
3 tablespoons hot sauce (optional)
3 tablespoons tahini
1/3 cup minced garlic
red pepper flakes, to taste

Directions:
Basically, in a blender or food processor, mix the garbanzo beans (chickpeas), jalapeno peppers and reserved juice, tahini, garlic, and lemon juice. Season with cumin, curry powder, and crushed red pepper. Blend until smooth.

LOVING FOOD AS PEACE...
